If you’re looking for an easy banana muffin, this is it! This recipe is perfect for getting little hands in the kitchen too!
See below for a printable version of this recipe.
Let me show you how great this recipe is for teaching valuable life skills, team work, cooperation and well…fun!
Start by gathering all of your ingredients. You don’t want to have to leave the littles alone with ingredients while you go searching for something you forgot!
Mash up 3 very ripe bananas, until they are basically banana goo. This was an awesome job for my helper, Jax, who loves to smash things!
While the bananas are being smashed, Mix all of your dry ingredients in another bowl. This was a great activity of scooping and pouring for Lily.
Once we had one bowl of smashed bananas, one bowl of dry ingredients and one bowl of wet ingredients we combined them all together by pouring the wet ingredients into the dry.
I had the little ones help to stir as much as they could, the batter is pretty thick. All the better to get those gross motor skills in for the morning!
I had Jax and Lily place the muffin liners in the tin while I cleaned up some of the ingredients.
I portioned the batter into the muffin liners and placed them in the oven. Jax and Lily kept a close eye on them through the glass oven door!
When they were done and cooled down, we shared them for our morning snack!
This recipe is so easy to make and allows for so much help from the kids! We will definitely be trying this recipe again 🙂
